Ardglass is a small rural fising village on the East Coast of County Down close to Downpatrick burial place of St Patrick
It has a population of 1635.
Ard Ghlais CLG is based at Ard Tuaille (Ardtole) and its membership is made up of people from the townlands of Dunsford and Ardglass
The clubs juvenile membership is made up of pupils from St Nicholas and St Marys Primary Schools in Ardglass and Chapelstown respectively
and the Areas secondary/Grammar Schools St Marys, Red High Downpatrick and Assumption Grammar School in Ballynahinch
The Club was formed in 1971 and though a small club it is at the heart of its community.
It offers Gaelic Football at Senior level and currently plays in Division 4 of the Down All County Leagues.The club has teams at juvenile level, has a Gaelic for Mothers and others team and runs an All Stars team for children. It also runs a very successful Health and Wellbeing programme
