The sun was shining as our u12s took on RGU in Downpatrick this week. The girls got of to a good start with Miley Holland finding the net to open the scoreline. Erin Cunningham and Maisy Caldwell worked hard to stop the RGU attack, turning over some lovely balls. It wasn’t long until Maci McConvilles pass to Miley saw her find the net again. Two further goals from Katie Johnston and a point from Paige Feenan helped us go in strong at half time. The second half was intense with both teams pushing up and getting some lovely scores. Ella Taggart and Roisin Cahoon continued to work hard in defence paving the way for Charlotte McBurney’s second half goal. RGU came back in the last few minutes with several charges and netted a goal to reduce the final deficit to 3.
A great win and a great game for the girls who will now look forward to playing Bright at home next week.
